What we do: Advanced Airborne Geophysics

Aiborne Surveys

Aeroquest currently provides helicopter-borne geophysical surveying services for the mineral exploration and environmental communities on a commercial basis, combining data acquisition, processing and interpretation. Special products such as conductivity-depth images (CDIs), resistivity soundings, and forward modeling based on discrete conductors within a resistive or conductive half-space are also available.

Aeroquest designs, manufactures, maintains and operates its geophysical instrumentation and navigation systems, processes and plots all data, and interprets results. All facets of the operation are done within Aeroquest by teams of professional geophysicists, geologists, computer specialists, electronics engineers and data processors.

Data Processing and Interpretation

The results of geophysical surveys completed by Aeroquest are provided with advanced data processing and interpretation methods, available in industry stardard formats and high quality coloured maps. Quality control and assurance during data aquisition procedures are well established in order to guarantee accuracy of the data.

Compilation Procedures of Survey Data and Final Products

  • Visual inspection of raw data after each flight
  • GPS synchronization with bird during flights
  • Environmental corrections: Diurnal effects, Magnetic storms, Spherics, etc.
  • In-field preliminary data processing, colour print-outs of flight paths and results from instrumentation
  • In-office data processing and interpretation of acquired data
  • Full size plotted coloured final maps at scales agreed with clients
  • Reports of field operations, data processing and interpretation of results obtained from survey
